Our Roots
Summit Plant Laboratories Inc. had a modest beginning in Fort Collins, Colorado in 1987. We are proud to be an independent, family-owned and locally operated facility. We have over 30 years of experience and expertise in the field of tissue culture, specialized crop care, and wholesale clonal production. Our focus is on potatoes, hops, and mint, with capabilities to work with many other crops. Our grassroots approach to business allows us to cater to your needs in a very specific and hands-on way.
The Future of Farming
Over the past couple of years, SPLI has made efforts towards lessening our energy usage, water usage, and carbon footprint. We have been working with local energy experts and are implementing their suggestions to make our operations more energy efficient. We installed new energy efficient equipment including furnaces, heaters, under bench hydronic heating systems for the greenhouses, LED lights, and computerized climate controls for each greenhouse for efficiency.
